Welcome to the Laboratory of Micro-Biomechanics

The Laboratory of Micro-Biomechanics is engaged in research projects in the area of biomechanics, bioMEMS and mechanobiology under the supervision of Prof. Ohashi. The laboratory includes 2 DC, 6 MC, and 5 Bachelors.

The main event of our laboratory is to have a weekly lab meeting during which students give a talk about their research topic and recent results before having a discussion. Moreover, we have lab seminars twice a week to gain knowledge about biomechanical engineering which is the focus of our studies. Since our laboratory has many exchange students from various countries, we can experience different languages, cultures and thoughts.

We aim to contribute to a further understanding of cell functions from the viewpoint of mechanics, and to provide useful devices and techniques for clinical applications.
